The Bugle Salutes

Today the sun sets and the bugle salutes
Tomorrow will be a day of rebukes

Oh! valiant son, the destroyer of evil
I look at Ankush and get a chill

From across the ocean, I overcome grief,
From this far-away land, I hope to provide relief

As the ashes on the pyre still simmer
The pain in my heart continues to shimmer

Today the sun sets and the bugle salutes

As you set sail, remember thy,
Your sacrifice does not leave us shy,

For tomorrow will be another day
The break of dawn promises to make new way

Your soul lives, only the mortals wither
My warrior delivers, the enemy quivers

Today the sun sets and the bugle salutes

Kargil and Drass shall again be mine
I know that's what will make you shine

Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh and Leh
Soon the enemy shall not stray

Of Squadron Ldr. Ahuja and Major Saravanan we ponder,
Tales will be told of valor and candor

Today the sun sets and the bugle salutes
Tomorrow will be a day of rebukes
